Banana Trouble in Seattle

I fell compelled to record this.

This just in from my Brother who I spoke to on the phone earlier in Seattle when he was in the car on the way to a very important meeting with people he hadn't yet met. Just so you know sillyness runs in the family..

"You would have laughed at when I arrived at the hotel. I was a bit early but nevertheless pulled up to the posh hotel entrance to do the valet parking.  I realized I had bought a banana from home to eat beforehand but since we chatted so long I did not eat it. I did not want to leave it in the car so as not to make the car smell bananary.

So I grabbed it and headed into the hotel, keeping the banana out of site of the doorman.  As I walked into the opulent lobby I realized that it was a bit strange that I was carrying a banana. Suddenly I wondered what I would do with it if the people I was meeting were already there…?  I pushed the banana up my coat sleeve as it was too large to put in my pocket and also since I had cut the end off as it was rotten, I did not want to get my pocket bananary either.  I looked down and realized that a few inches of the banana was sticking out of my sleeve so I looked like a pirate with a banana hand instead of a hook. What was I thinking, why didn’t I just leave the banana in the car. I looked around for a bin, a plant anything but before I knew it some very well dressed business people and hotel employees were in front of me so I put my ‘banana’ hand behind my back and headed straight for the loo.

Now I’m in the loo with a banana, how does one explain heading into the loo with a banana, I certainly hoped I didn’t run into anyone.   Needless to say I was able to dispose of the banana finally and return with dignity to the lobby of the hotel.

Fortunately my meeting guests were not early and I was saved the embarrassment of having to shake hands while trying to hide a banana.  I suppose the moral of the story is that one should eat breakfast before leaving home."

Classic!
